TOTEMS

As a gallery artist, my work focused on the narrative possibilities inherent in everyday objects. A body of small works of art of a more intimate nature evolved from the familiar to the more symbolic. Personal items such as a collection of horse teeth from Mexico, sticks and stones given as gifts from my small sons became references to memory and the passage of time.
